Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Our commitment

Construction work is done by people with a wide range of abilities, devices and working conditions. Day Zero Ready is built to be usable by as many of them as possible — including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or a phone in bright sunlight with gloves on.

Standard we work toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We consider accessibility during design and build rather than as a later correction.

What we have implemented

  • Semantic headings, landmarks and page structure on every page.
  • A “skip to content” link at the top of each page.
  • Full keyboard operation with visible focus indicators.
  • Text and interface colors chosen to meet contrast requirements.
  • Labels on every form field, with errors reported in text, not color alone.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Touch targets sized for gloved hands and small screens.
  • Reduced-motion support for people who prefer less animation.
  • Mobile-first layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

This website is under active development. Some content, documents and third-party services linked from this site — including the separate DZR learner application — are evaluated on their own schedule. Where a barrier is found, we will correct it or provide the information another way.

Report a barrier

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible to use, tell us. Please describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you were using. We will respond and work toward a fix.
